My top 10

I know a lot of my posts might sound like I’m complaining about motherhood. I like to think of it as “keepin’ it real”. And hopefully, some of you moms reading this will find the humor in these snapshots of my life. But to put a lovey-dovey spin on things, I will list my latest and greatest, top 10 favorite things about each kid.

Chloe:
1) I love that she loves shoes. She asks me to put them on all the time. Even over footed pj’s.
2) I love how adventurous she is. Other than strangers coming for her, not much freaks her out.
3) Her hair. Nuff said.
4) I love that she kisses her stuffed animals goodnight. She also takes inventory. “Sha-sha, bee boo, & (grunt) for the lamb”.
5) I love her gapped teeth.
6) I love that when Alex pisses her off, she whaps him in the face. (Need to work on that one)
7) I love that when she needs cuddles in the middle of the night, her little arm wraps around my neck super tight.
8) I love that when she hides in her play tent, she runs out and whips the curtain back laughing. As if she’s saying, I’m here!!
9) I love that she knows how to wear a baseball mitt and throw a ball.
10) I love that she loves brushing her teeth and calls it “toosh-pay” for toothpaste.

Alex:
1) The other morning I woke up to him caressing my face and then whispered, “I love you, Mom.” I mean….!!
2) I love that he asks me everyday, “Tell me about your day!”
3) I love that he loves to read books.
4) I love that he’s good at sports. Makes me excited to be a baseball mom someday. Probably driving a minivan.
5) I love when he calls his jeans “jeanos”.
6) I love when he tells me not to say “stupid” or “crap”.
7) I love that he knows when a Justin Timberlake song is on the radio. Parental win, right there.
8) I love that he loves his time with Yiayia and Granny.
9) I love that he’s obsessed with teenage girls.
10) I love that he still holds my hand.
