Alex is 15 months old. He is so grown up looking sometimes it shocks me. Looking back at photos from only 6 months ago, you can see how much baby fat he’s lost and how boyish he is now. His recent check up was great and he is 22 lbs 5 oz and 31″ tall. Growing right on track. He now has 11 teeth. 3 of which are molars pushing on through. And he loves his teeth….just make him mad and watch him try to bite your closest body part. We are now working on ditching the bottle. Tonight we kick the “before bed” bottle because all he does it want to walk around while drinking it. No thanks. Either you sit and drink it, or you’re just going to bed. So there you go.
Eating and sleeping are still great. All he wants to do is climb on everything though. The fireplace, the couch, the bed, on his toys…anything to get higher up. This also explains why he loves the slide at daycare.
Words are still being worked out on a daily basis. He can copy a lot of words we tell him, and he understands A LOT! Most of the time, when we ask him to get something or “let’s go (insert activity here)” he knows exactly what we mean. The “sh” sound is being used the most. So Sure and Shoe are easily copied. Whatever he’s trying to say, its important. Complete with very emphatic hand gestures. Must be the Greek in him. Oh and the last bit of big news, he is finally saying “mama”. Not always when referencing me, but whatever. I’ll take it!!
Newest Nickname: Scooby
Newest trick he’s learning: Jumping
Newest food obsession: Anything with pasta
Newest irritation for us: Refusing diaper changes even if the diaper is so heavy if falls off.
New fun fact: He likes to be chased and for me to jump out from behind a door to scare him. You can tell his scares the shit out of him, but then he laughs hysterically.
That’s all for now. Coming soon…his 1st School pictures. 🙂
