I decided to move my maternity photo shoot up by 2 weeks. Wanna guess why??

This is one ACTIVE little girl. At this point in your pregnancy, the mother is told to do a “kick count” every day. Your baby should kick at least 10 times in 1 hour. I assume this helps us to verify that our growing nugget is healthy and active?? Now, with Alex, I could usually count to 10 kicks in a span of around 10-20 minutes. Not bad. For Chloe, this morning at 4:30 am for example, I counted 10 kicks in about 1 minute. WHAT IS SHE DOING IN THERE?!? By that calculation, she is going to come out of the birth canal wearing a sequined gown doing high kicks and signing the hyper rendition of “Rollin’ on the River” a-la Tina Turner. This freaks me the hell out. Alex is a sweet, mellow, and gentle child. Is Chloe going to be hell on wheels? Please Jesus, no. This was my main concern when I found out I was pregnant again. Not the time or money aspect, but the, “What if I have a girl, and she’s a Toddlers & Tiaras girl? What if she is the girl who needs her lipstick, handbag, and high heels at age 3? What if she wants to sing and dance during every dinner party we throw? I’m not sure how to handle this. Regardless, I’m excited to meet her in 3 short months…even if that means impending alcohol abuse in order to deal with her antics.

Positive Notes for this pregnancy: Passed my glucose test with flying colors, perfect blood pressure, no water retention, clear skin, gained 13 lbs thus far, and everything tastes amazing. (that last one might be considered a negative)
Negative Notes: Grunting every time I get up from the couch, shaving my legs is a serious effort now, keeping up with chasing and picking up a 23 lb boy, doing the waddle, and my all time fave…hemorrhoids. Prunes anyone?

I take my maternity pics this weekend. Hopefully, Nicole can angle the camera to make me look like Gisele when she was pregnant. Stay tuned.
