Chloe 4 months

Another month down!  Sheesh, I can’t believe we’re at 4 months already.  Don’t let this angelic face fool you….she is  a beast.

Physical Changes:  She is very strong.  She can roll herself from her stomach to her back no problem.  (miles ahead of what alex did at 4 months)  She loves to whap me in the face when I hold her and frequently uses her hand to take the pacifier out.  Kind of makes me think she’s not really diggin’ it like her big brother does.   She’s only about 13 1/2 lbs, but the rolls are a plenty.  What is it about fat babies that make people happy?

Eating:  5 oz every 3-4 hours

I’m still breastfeeding, but this month we started formula too.  Sadly, I couldn’t keep up with what she wants, so in effort to limit the screaming  to a minimum, smelly formula it is.  I was hoping I could to ONLY breast milk this time around, but our Dr. recommends waiting to do cereal or baby food til 6 months.  So as much as I fought it, I had to give in and give her the extra milk she wanted.  I guess I should be glad I made it this far….besides, all that hard work helped me drop the baby weight and then some.

Sleeping:  Bedtime 8-9pm, one feed/night (time varies) Wakes up 6-7am

Alex definitely wins this round.  He was a great sleeper and slept through the night by about 2 months.  Not even close here with Miss C.  Maybe I let her sleep in our bed too long. Who knows.  At least she falls asleep easily.  Its just the STAYING asleep that is the challenge.  She also prefers sleeping on her stomach.  I know this is a no-no, but I figure since she is able to roll back over, we’re safe.

New changes:

Lots of drool and constant chewing of the hands, sitting the in bumbo seat, standing in her saucer toy, and reaching for her brother when sees him.  Cute, right?

This series of pics shows you the effort it takes to get ONE cute picture.

I know I’ve said this before, but I’m loving having a daughter.  She is so special, but so demanding.  Chloe is really helping me cement the “i’m only having 2 kids” idea.  My girlfriend and I joke that the 2nd kid “makes my uterus want to jump into on coming traffic.”  Ah, that one never gets old. haha  C’mon, Chloe!  What else you got??!
