9 month updates
Weight: 17 lbs. 11 oz
Height: 28″
Teeth: 4 top teeth coming in at once.
Hair: Finally coming in. Looking just like Alex’s coloring.
Eyes: Still blue
Tricks: Waves “bye-bye”, does a fake cough if prompted, standing in place, full on hands & knees crawling, and splashing like a maniac in the bathtub.
Clothes: Wearing 6-12 months.
Likes: Bottles (freaks out when she sees one), her brother, chewing on your fingers, baths, the cats, stroller rides, her purple hippo stuffed animal, and the theme song to Lazytown.
Dislikes: Teething, being hungry, getting out of the bath and being dressed, noisy big brothers that cry in the middle of the night, or when her Mom has to put her down and she wants to be held.
So many changes this month. Sleep is almost now normal. She has had a really good track record lately for sleeping through the night. No paci interruptions and no feedings. I mean. I don’t even know what to do with all this sleep. I suspect its due to the fact that her 4 front teeth are all coming in at the same time. Sweet relief! Food is also progressing along. Chunky foods have definitely taken some time to get used to. She used to make a sour face and spit them out, but she’s grown to love puffs, avocado, potato, blueberries, apple, & bread. Her hand-eye coordination is getting pretty good while trying to feed herself. If she is on your lap while trying to eat dinner, she is clawing her way to your plate.
She loves to look at herself in the mirror. She smiles, hits the mirror with her hand, then looks at her hand slowly as if shes confused, and then kisses the mirror. Not sure what that’s foreshadowing, but let’s go with the theory that she’ll have great self-esteem?
Chloe lights up when she sees Dad but still prefers me. One thing I still love is that she is happy to be held by anyone. Alex used to hate strangers, but Chloe always has such a vibrant smile ready to pass along to anyone who stops to admire. When people hold her, the first more she makes is for the nose or your jewelry. That’s the Greek girl in her.
She is getting better at just entertaining herself on the floor, but still gets bored fast. You can tell when she starts picking up a toy and chucking it over her shoulder or just knocking shit off the table. As if to say, “These baby toys are for morons.” Sorry, doll. Let me just fetch your Mac Book so you can sign yourself up for college.
She is getting bolder, bossier, and funnier everyday. Now that she has such a defined personality, I find myself really sad to be missing her antic during the day. I’m sad the baby is leaving, but I’m pretty excited for the toddler fun stuff too. Enjoy the pics!
P.S. 1st Birthday planning has begun!
