The birthday celebrations were minimal this year. I just didn’t have the time or energy to throw a big bash with friends or family. I don’t need a huge to-do for my birthday. I’m happy with a good meal and my man. The weekend before my birthday I got to hang out with my college girls. I got a couple of lunch dates, an awesome cake at work, and my actual birthday ended with a delicious meal at Mulvaney’s with Mari & Dom. I had an amazing squash ravioli with pesto. Hell yes. There is something about sitting on a wonderful patio on a warm summer night that just makes me feel like everything is right with the world. Good food and spending time with my loved ones trumps any gift I could get. It was a great birthday and 33 is looking prett-eh good.
