Lots of change going on around here. Well two things, so not really lots. First off, the kids started “school” or daycare, however you want to look at it. Alex’s classroom is pretty close to a pre-school environment so I call it school for him. Chloe’s room does a lot of instruction too but mostly playtime and sing-alongs. Last Sunday… Read more →
Chloe in the bath
Since I’ve chosen to make Alex bathe every other night to avoid the fight, Lo took a bath solo tonight. Henry is working late and I managed to actually cook dinner by myself while tending to the babes. They both ate dinner and sat quietly long enough for me to eat my food! It was amazing and it gave me… Read more →
Cooking Class {Fish Tacos}
Groupon had a deal for a cooking class for two people at our Sacramento Food Co-op and I thought it would be ridiculously fun. (Plus its on my list of 33). I invited Amy as a belated “birthday” gift and we picked from the list of classes. First we chose a pizza making one, but it was sold out. So… Read more →
Pinterest Challenge – String Art
I saw this project on Pinterest and wanted to give it a shot as a birthday present for our friend Kane. He’s turning two. His Mom loved the idea so I set out on my mission. I must have looked like a MORON wandering through Home Depot for wood and wood stain. I probably walked the store 4 times over.… Read more →
Chloe {15 months}
Yes this is an odd marker to warrant a blog post, but I we went to the dr. for a check up so I have current stats. There you go. Petunia (Toon, Toonie, Chloe-Belle: as in goofy’s girlfriend Clara-Belle, Alex calls her “Took”) is different. The changes over the last 3 months are very noticeable. Not even just physically, although… Read more →
The Mom Group
Some might hear “Mom Group” and cringe. You might think we all breastfeed in a circle while discussing the best baby wipes to use. Not this group. This group was put together around the winter of 2009. Amazingly, I knew a ton of girls all pregnant and due that next summer. So we started getting together (waddling together is more… Read more →
Garden Update 8/26
Well, the garden is still going strong except from a few sad looking spots. Some leaves on our tomatoes are turning yellow/brown (bottomed branches only) and the squash leaves look….. not right. Might be a disease or something. Take a look. Our herbs, carrots, and beets look really good. Our Japanese pumpkins look like the are done growing and now… Read more →
Alex {3 years}
The boy is three. Three doesn’t sound old, but he’s so grown up now and when you have conversations with him, that’s when you realize, its been a long time since he was a baby. Likes: Baseball, (all sports, really), gardening, helping me bake things, milk, jumping on our neighbors trampoline, sitting on the porch, running through sprinklers, puzzles, gummy… Read more →
August Clean Up Challenge
We didn’t tackle one specific area, but rather all of our closets. We got one of those fliers in the mail for a donation pick up and they come tomorrow. So all the lumpy sweaters, faded polos, and slightly stained baby clothes are bagged and tagged. I threw in some of the random/cheapy toys too. Hopefully, someone else can get… Read more →
Truckee – Day 5
Today was our last full day on our vacation here. I could use a few more days, honestly. To me, a vacation is just doing whatever you want whenever you want. No schedule or “planned” activities. The point of taking time off is to relax, right? Aside from the manual labor of hoarding children, we’ve done a good job of… Read more →
